How to Find Your SteamID64
Last updated: April 2026
Your SteamID64 is a unique 17-digit number that identifies your Steam account. RustLookup uses it to pull up your Rust stats, hours, and profile info. Here are three reliable ways to find it.
1 Via your Steam profile URL
The easiest method if your profile is set to a custom URL. Open your Steam profile in a browser. Look at the address bar — if you see a URL like this:
The 17-digit number at the end is your SteamID64. You can paste that number directly into RustLookup.
If your URL looks like this instead:
You're using a vanity URL. RustLookup accepts that format too — just paste the full URL and it will resolve automatically. Or use Method 2 below to get the raw number.
2 Via the Steam client
This method works even if your profile has a custom vanity name:
Open Steam. Click Steam in the top-left menu, then go to Settings. Navigate to the Interface tab and enable "Display Steam URL address bar when available". Now click your profile name at the top and select View my profile. The address bar in the Steam overlay will now show your full /profiles/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX URL — grab the 17-digit number from that.
3 Via SteamDB
If you prefer a tool that does the conversion for you, head to steamdb.info and click the calculator icon in the top-right corner. Type in your vanity name or paste your profile URL, and it will show you your SteamID64 instantly alongside your other Steam IDs.
Why does RustLookup need it?
The Steam API requires a SteamID64 to fetch player data — there's no way to look someone up by display name alone, since many players share the same username. Your SteamID64 is not sensitive; it's public information visible on any Steam profile page. Anyone who has played on the same Rust server as you can see it.
